The evolution of Easy AI

Aura is our answer. It is an AI agentic assistant built into Easy8 that you operate in plain language, and it is deliberately narrow about where it looks.

Aura is designed to simplify everyday work, it helps you find information, understand project context, and complete routine tasks using natural language, without navigating through multiple screens. 

This AI agent is incorporated into the new version of Easy8 software as the next stage of Easy AI. 

Whether you're managing projects, developing software, supporting customers, or coordinating teams, Aura brings the information you need into a single conversation and helps you take action faster.

Imagine taking an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT and putting it inside your project management tool, with your data never leaving it. That is Aura! It is not a separate user and not an administrator. Every operation runs within the permissions of the person who is logged in the aplication, and Aura never acts on its own initiative. As part of the Private WorkOps Platform, it gives your teams general-purpose AI secured at the level of your own Easy8 data.

What can Aura do?

Aura, the AI agent, combines conversational AI with live Easy8 data, allowing you to work more efficiently across your daily activities.

This clever agentic companion locked in Easy8 secured environment can do for you: 

• Find projects, tasks, customers, users or Product Backlog Items
• Summarizse issues, discussions, sprint progress or recent project activity
• Work with comments and history, draws on the knowledge resources 
• Search across Easy8, connected knowledge bases and indexed documentation
• Create and update tasks, bugs, Product Backlog Items and project notes
• Log time, manage attendance and perform other routine administrative tasks
• Analyse screenshots, automatically create bug reports and attach supporting images
• Search PBIs and load the Sprint Board and create or update a PBI from a source task
• Describe the intent, work in context of the current task in Easy8
• Draft helpdesk replies on a ticket because Aura reads the customer's question against your connected knowledge collections

Secured AI assistant in Easy8

Every operation runs within the permissions of the person who is logged in, and Aura never acts on its own initiative. As part of the Private WorkOps Platform, it gives your teams general-purpose AI secured at the level of your own Easy8 data.

Another advantage of Aura is that it uses an LLM via Azure AI, with processing and data residency on EU-based servers.

What Aura will not do:

• Decide on changes in Easy8 by itself, or make writes you did not request.
• Bypass permissions, or claim it changed something when no change happened.
• Invent missing data, or infer sensitive information from indirect signals.
• Reach logs or sensitive administrator data automatically.
• Replace the security controls in Easy8 or Azure.

Which data Aura can reach

Aura has no blanket access to your Easy8 data. It retrieves data through specific requests and tools, and the scope depends on four things: 

1. the permissions of the signed-in user, 
2. the scope of the request itself, 
3. the plugins you have active,
4. any restriction to a particular project, user or entity. 

Administrators can reach other users' data only where their own Easy8 permissions already allow it.

Does Aura act alone?

Aura does not browse your Easy8 data continuously, read tasks or projects at random, create tasks, change statuses, or log time or attendance without being asked. Operations start from a user request or from a specific system function.

The one exception is Aura Memory, which keeps a limited working context: your current focus, active tasks, follow-ups and useful preferences. 

Scheduled Memory updates maintain that context only. They do not change tasks, projects or any other Easy8 entity on their own.

How permissions stay protected

Aura works under the identity of the signed-in Easy8 user. It does not raise its own permissions, bypass project or user restrictions, or guess IDs for tasks, users and projects. 

Where a value is missing or ambiguous, Aura asks instead of guessing, and it checks the current state of a record before writing to it.
