A brief history of Easy8 in 8 key milestones

It all starts with Redmine
Easy8 started as a software development studio, and every project tool we looked at had a limited idea of what project management is.
So we implemented Redmine internally and bent it around us instead. Clients asked for the same thing the following years.
100 clients, choosing between cloud and on-premises
The industry was consolidating on cloud only, and it was the correct commercial decision for almost everyone who made it.
We kept SaaS and on-premises, paid twice for everything for a decade, and that is the reason regulated industries can buy from us at all.
The Mindfulness Foundation
For us, sustainability and social responsibility are not just about “cleaning up karma”. It's a solid part and essence of our business.
That's why Easy8 have made a commitment to regularly donate the part of our gross sales to these causes.
1,000,000 euros without investors
Funded by customers rather than an investor round.
It also meant nobody was in a position to make us drop on-premises when it stopped looking good on a chart.
Easy8 started offering to the regulated sector
German public administration selected the platform, which meant going through every security and deployment claim we had ever published. Passing it was useful. Preparing for it changed how we work.
Industry-first on-premises AI
We built Easy AI to run on their own infrastructure instead. Keeping your sensitive enterprise data safe with on-premises Easy8. Complete control of your deployment while keeping all the powerful features, including on-premises AI.
WorkOps framework based on almost 20 years of PM experience
Rather than write our own integration layer and spend years catching up, we became an official n8n Expert Partner and built the part nobody else was doing: the framework connecting work and operations.
We call it WorkOps. It is an organisational framework that applies the core principles of DevOps to all business operations rather than just software development.
Easy Redmine and Easy Project become Easy8
Our name described a Redmine plugin from 2006, and the platform had not been only that for years.
In March 2026, Easy Redmine, Easy Project and Easy Software became Easy8. Same platform, same data, same team, one name.
