WBS
A work breakdown structure (WBS) breaks a project into progressively smaller deliverables, down to work packages small enough for one owner to estimate, schedule, and own outright.
In Easy8, the WBS is a mind-map-style view of projects, tasks, and subtasks that stays connected to the Gantt chart and the project budget, so restructuring the tree changes the plan itself, not a drawing of it.
How to use WBS
Start from a WBS template, then decompose the scope across three or four WBS levels until each WBS element is a work package that one owner can estimate, schedule and report on. Define what each element covers in a WBS dictionary so the scope survives handover, and connect the finished tree to the schedule and the budget, so re-planning means moving a branch instead of rebuilding the plan.
