Prerequisites
- Time tracking enabled in your projects
- Logged spent time data available
- Access to dashboards and reporting modules
Using Reports for Logged Spent Time Analysis Tutorial
Step 1: Open the Personal Statement Report
- Go to the global menu and click on Time reports.
- Select Personal Statement from the options.
💡 Tip: Bookmark this page for faster access to your time tracking overview.
📌Note: If you don’t see this menu, verify that time tracking is enabled and that you have permission to view it.
Step 2: Apply Filters
- Use the filter options to narrow down the data:
- Project
- User
- Date range
- Activity
- Click Apply to view the filtered results.
📌Note: You can combine filters to get specific segments of data (e.g. testing activities by one team member).
⚠️ Corner Situation: Filtering by user may exclude group-assigned tasks. Always double-check that you're viewing individual time logs.
Step 3: Use the Spent Time Widget
- Go to your Personal Dashboard.
- Click Edit dashboard and add the Spent Time widget.
- Configure the widget to display:
- Time range
- Report type (List, Bar chart, Pie chart)
- Grouping options (User, Activity, Project)
💡 Tip: Use different widgets with pre-set filters for quick overview of different departments or weeks.
📌Note: If the chart shows no data, apply grouping and filters before switching to visual view.
Step 4: Visualize Using the Calendar View
- Add the Spent Time Calendar widget to your dashboard.
- It displays time entries day-by-day in a calendar format.
- Hover over entries to see task details and durations.
📌 Note: Calendar entries do not display overlapping entries visually — use Personal Statement for detailed log inspection.
⚠️ Corner Situation: Timer-logged tasks may show default start times unless From–To logging is enabled.
Step 5: Export the Report
- From the Personal Statement or Spent Time widget, click on Export.
- Choose CSV or XLS format.
- Save the file and open it for offline processing or sharing.
💡 Tip: Use Excel pivot tables or Google Sheets filters to perform further analysis offline.
⚠️ Warning: Some browsers may block downloads — check pop-up settings if nothing happens after clicking export.
