User Management in Administration
Definition
User Management allows administrators to:
- View and filter all user accounts
- Edit user information and permissions
- Create new users
- Access advanced tools for organizing, anonymizing, or locking users
Users are organized into groups and roles to help manage access and responsibilities within the system.
How It Works
Viewing Users
When opening the User Management section, administrators see a grouped list of users. Each entry shows high-level information such as:
- Name
- User type
- Group
- Role
- Last login date
Groups can be expanded to see detailed user rows with full data per user.
Accessing User Profiles
Clicking on a user name opens a user profile. This includes:
- Personal information (login, name, registration date, etc.)
- Tabs for more areas like activity, projects, attendance, changes history
- A right-hand menu with actions such as edit, anonymize, and asset management
Editing a User
Clicking Edit opens a detailed form. The profile is divided into editable tabs:
- General – Main info and email settings
- Groups – Membership in user groups
- Projects – Project assignments
- Working time – Work templates
- Avatar – Profile image
- My dashboard – Custom dashboard settings
- Skills – User skills
Other settings include roles, preferences, AI assistant access, dashboard templates, and authentication options.
Further actions like delete, lock, and apply roles from another user are available in the right panel.
Creating a New User
The New user button opens a similar interface to the edit view. Administrators can fill in:
- Required fields like login, name, email, and password
- Optional details including phone, tags, time zone, notification preferences
- Advanced options like supervisor, AI access, and default calendars
This ensures new users are fully configured and ready to work from the moment they log in.
Conclusion
The User Management section provides complete control over user accounts in Easy8. From reviewing activity to assigning roles and setting preferences, administrators can manage every aspect of user profiles quickly and in one place.
