Usage Notes

  • Corner Situation – Inactive Activities: Inactive activities remain visible in old time entries but cannot be used for new logs.
  • Corner Situation – Estimate Limit: Enabling Limit spent time by estimated time will completely block further logging on the task once the threshold is hit. No warning is shown during entry.
  • Corner Situation – From–To Range Logging: If a user enters overlapping From-To entries, only the duration is stored. Entries are not validated for overlap.
  • Corner Situation – Timer Closing: Task Timer must be manually finished. Navigating away or closing the browser without finishing won’t log time.

Examples

Example 1: A project manager enables the Spent time module and creates three Activities (Development, Design, Testing) to categorize time logs.

Example 2: A support team uses Start Task Timer Now for their Ticket tracker so that agents don’t forget to start tracking when handling issues.
