Introduction
This feature allows supervisors to inherit view permissions for CRM entities and tasks from their subordinates. It is especially useful in environments where managers need visibility over their teams' work and CRM activities without managing each record directly.
Target Audience
- User
What It Does
When enabled, a supervisor can automatically see the following items assigned to or created by their subordinates:
- Tasks
- CRM entities:
- Leads
- Opportunities
- Accounts
- Partners
Where to Enable
- Go to Administration >> Plugins >> Organizational chart – Configure
- Set the “Share subordinates access to supervisor” field to one of the following:
- Direct subordinates – access to items of directly managed users only
- Subordinates tree – access to all users in the full reporting hierarchy
Important Notes
- This feature shares only view permissions. Supervisors cannot manage the shared data unless granted permission explicitly.
- Visibility is still limited by the subordinate’s role settings. If the subordinate cannot see something, neither can the supervisor.
Use Case
Sales managers can monitor tasks, leads, or opportunities of their entire sales team without the need for additional permission configuration. This ensures transparency and supports oversight responsibilities within the organizational hierarchy.
Conclusion
By inheriting view permissions from subordinates, supervisors gain valuable visibility into task progress and CRM data. This helps ensure that managers can effectively support and track team performance without overcomplicating permission structures.
