Prerequisites
- You must have the Requirements module enabled in your project settings.
- You need permission to access the Requirements Settings area.
- Prepare your import or export file in .xls or .xlsx format.
How to Import or Export Requirement Artifacts
Step 1: Open Requirements Settings
- Go to your project’s Requirements tab.
- Click on the Requirements Settings button in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Choose Import or Export
- From the settings screen, choose either:
- Import – to bring artifacts into your project from a spreadsheet
- Export – to download your current artifact tree to a spreadsheet
Step 3: Format the File
Both import and export support .xls and .xlsx files. Your spreadsheet should include the following fields (columns):
- Name
- Type (Section, Requirement, Change request)
- Status
- Description
- Responsible
- Parent (for tree structure)
- Relations (optional)
Step 4: Perform the Action
- For import:
- Choose your file and upload it using the import function.
- Review the preview to confirm structure and field matching.
- For export:
- Click the export button to download the current artifact tree with values pre-filled in Excel format.
