How to Work with Leads
Introduction
This guide will show you how to work with leads in Easy8. This is useful for managing your lead pool, qualifying or disqualifying leads, tracking activities, and using splitter filters. By following these steps, you’ll be able to organize and process leads efficiently.

Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure you have:
- Access to the CRM module
- Permission to manage Leads
- CRM >> Leads access via the Global menu
Where to Find Leads
- Go to the Global menu >> CRM
- Click Leads in the right sidebar menu
The Leads page shows:
- Lead categories like Open Leads, No Touch Leads, Incoming Leads
- Widgets for daily activity like Calls on Leads and No Action
- Tabs for switching views: Intraday, Stats, FreePool, Conversions, Splitter Control
Sidebar Options
In the right sidebar, you can:
- Create a new lead
- Access lead Data, Campaigns, and Lead splitter filters
Tip
Use the <strong>Saved filters management</strong> option to create custom lead filters and save them for future use.
Viewing and Managing Lead Details
When you open a lead’s detail view, you can:
- Qualify or Disqualify the lead
- Add a Sales Activity
- Edit, Archive, or Anonymize the lead
- Add the lead to an Account or Partner
Working with Sales Activities
To add a sales activity:
- Click Add Activity in the sidebar or go to the Sales activities tab
- Fill in the details (type, time, attendees)
- Click Save
To edit or delete a sales activity:
- Hover over the activity
- Click the pencil or trash bin icon
- Confirm the action if deleting
Using Lead Splitter Filters
Splitter filters help divide lead workload among users (e.g. 33% each). To use them:
Create a New Splitter Filter
- Go to Lead splitter filters from the sidebar
- Click New
- Define a filter and assign percentage split among users
- Click Update
Process Leads with the Filter
- Click Execute to apply the filter
- To review leads that didn’t process, click Unprocessed leads
Basic Lead Operations
Create a New Lead
- Global menu >> CRM
- Right sidebar >> Leads >> New Lead
- Fill in the fields
- Click Save
Qualify a Lead
- In the lead detail, click Qualify
- Fill in required fields for the opportunity
- Click Save
Disqualify a Lead
- Click Disqualify
- Set a status and enter a reason if needed
- Click Save
Edit a Lead
- Click Edit
- Update fields
- Click Update
Add to Account
- Click Add to Account
- Select the target account
- Click Save
Archive / Unarchive / Anonymize
- Click Archive, Unarchive, or Anonymize as needed
- Confirm the action when prompted
Troubleshooting
- Problem: Leads not visible
Solution: Check filters or permissions under Roles and Permissions - Problem: Splitter filter doesn’t assign leads
Solution: Check the filter definition and user percentage totals - Problem: Can’t add sales activity
Solution: Ensure you have edit permissions for the lead
