Steps

1. Configure Export Settings

  1. Go to Administration > Settings > Files
  2. In the file export section, review and adjust:
    • Enabled export formats (e.g., CSV, XLSX, PDF)
    • File size limit (maximum size of exported files)
  3. Click Save to confirm your settings

Note: Ensuring these are set properly avoids errors during export of large or complex datasets.

2. Export a List

  1. Go to any list view (e.g., tasks, spent time, projects)
  2. Use the Export buttons located at the bottom right of the list
  3. Choose your preferred file format

You will be redirected to the Exports page to monitor progress.

3. Monitor Export Status

  1. You will land on the /easy_async_exports page
  2. The list shows your recent export jobs with their current status
  3. Click Refresh on the page until the status changes to Done
  4. When the export is ready, a Download link will appear

4. Receive Notification

  • An email will be sent to you once the export is complete
  • You don’t need to stay on the exports page — this is useful for large exports that take longer to process

Expected Results

  • The system generates your file in the selected format
  • You can access and download it from the export history page
  • You will receive an email confirmation when it is done

Troubleshooting

  • Export doesn’t start: Make sure the export format is enabled and the file size limit is not too low
  • Export stuck or fails: Refresh the exports page or try a smaller dataset
  • No email received: Check your notification settings or spam folder
