Introduction
This guide will show you how to use the Requirements Management feature in Easy8. It is designed for complex, technical projects made up of many detailed components. Requirements are managed through a tree of artifacts at the project level—there is no global view for requirements across the system.

- You must be a project member
- You must have the correct permissions: Administration → Roles and permissions → Requirements
- Enable the Requirements module under Project → Modules
How to Use Requirements Management
Step 1: Enable the Module
- Go to Project → Modules
- Check the box for Requirements
- Save the settings
- The Requirements tab will now appear in the project menu
Step 2: Configure Artifact Types and Relations
- Set names for artifact types: Section, Requirement, Change request
- Deactivate any types you do not need
- Assign a color to each artifact type
- Define relations: default types include Parent-child, Dependency, Conflict
- You can add custom relations if needed
Step 3: Define Artifact Statuses
- Create statuses such as New, Realization, Done
- Choose whether tasks from other projects can be linked
- Save the configuration
Step 4: Create Artifacts
- Right-click on the top node or any artifact in the tree
- Select Create artifact under or Create artifact on the same level
- Choose a type: Section, Requirement, Change request
- Enter details:
- Name
- Responsible person
- Status
- Description
Step 5: Manage Artifacts
- Drag and drop artifacts to reorder or restructure the tree
- Link tasks to artifacts (new or existing)
- Create relationships between artifacts
- Update, delete, or view the history of each artifact
Step 6: Use Filters and Baselines
- Use the left sidebar to filter artifacts
- Enable the Baselines module in Project → Modules
- Create baselines (snapshots) of the requirements tree
- Restore any baseline version at any time
