How to Use Knowledge Base Search

Quick Search

  • Located in the Header bar.
  • Autocomplete appears as you type, matching only article and file titles.

Autocomplete Popup Structure:

  • Left Column: Primary results with bold titles and thumbnail previews for exact matches.
  • Right Column: Tools and secondary results, including:
    • Create a page using the current term (if permission allows).
    • Trigger full-text search to go to the Search Center.
  • Namespace pills: Type a namespace like Manual: to narrow the search to that section.

Search Center (Full-Text Search)

  • Activated by clicking the magnifying glass or pressing Enter in the search bar.
  • Searches through all articles and files including their full content.
  • Also includes related Easy8 Tasks and Projects.

Search Operators:

  • Term AND other
  • Term OR other
  • Term NOT other
  • Use wildcards to broaden search (e.g., Agile* AND Project*).
  • Operators must be UPPERCASE.
