How to Use CRM on the Project Level
Introduction
This guide will show you how to use the CRM on a project level. This is useful for companies that want to manage CRM records within a specific project. By following these steps, you’ll be able to activate CRM features, customize your CRM dashboard, and use opportunities and checklists efficiently.

Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure you have:
- Access to a project where CRM can be enabled
- Membership in that project
- Sufficient role permissions to manage CRM
- CRM module checked in the project’s module settings
How to Use Project-Level CRM
Step 1: Enable CRM for Your Project
- Open your project
- Go to Project controls >> Settings >> Modules
- Check the CRM checkbox
- Click Save
- The CRM tab will appear in the top project menu
Step 2: Open the Project CRM Page
Click the CRM tab in the project’s top menu. You’ll be redirected to the CRM dashboard.
Step 3: Customize the CRM Dashboard
- Click Customize in the lower-left corner
- Add widgets such as:
- Funnel of Sales (Opportunity charts)
- Sales Activities
- Pie Charts by product or person
- Member performance
- Custom widgets (list, pivot table, dynamic filters)
- Click Save page and go back
- Your widgets are now visible and interactive
Working with the Widgets
Each widget on the page supports:
- Calendar and period selection
- Clicking titles to view the source data
- Edit, delete, and baseline controls (pencil, trash, lightning icon)
Creating and Managing Opportunities
Add a New Opportunity
- Click the New Opportunity button (top-right corner)
- Fill in required fields (name, status, customer, etc.)
- Click Save
View Existing Opportunities
- Click Opportunities from the right-side menu
- Use filters above the list (e.g. “Forecast”, “My Top Deals”)
- Click any item to open its detail view
Edit or Take Action on Opportunities
In the detail view sidebar, you can:
- Mark as Sold
- Add a Sales Activity
- Edit, delete, or move the record
- Create a new quote
- Add related task, account, business role, or assign to partner
Using Saved Filters
- Click Saved filters management
- Modify existing filters or create a new one with New Filter
- Filters can be reused and shared
Checklists in Opportunities
If enabled in the project, every opportunity can include a checklist. You can:
- Create a checklist from scratch
- Load a template (e.g. Opportunity checklist)
This helps track every sales step like:
- Call client
- Set up meeting
- Finalize contract

- Problem: CRM tab is not visible
