How to Set Project Email Notifications and Manage Overall Activity
Step 1: Configure Default Email Notifications
To manage notifications:
- Navigate to Administration >> Settings >> E-mail notifications
- Set the notification email address (sender)
- Select which actions should trigger email notifications
- Personalize the emails with a header and footer
Step 2: Configure Default Events for Overall Activity
To define the events visible in the Overall Activity section:
- Go to Administration >> Settings >> Projects - Default events for overall activity
- Check the types of activity you want to track
- Save the settings
To view Overall activity, click on the Overall Activity button on the project page.
Step 3: User-Specific Email Settings
Users can set their own notification preferences:
- Navigate to the user profile settings
- Choose to receive notifications for all projects or specific ones
- Select notifications for tasks where the user is an assignee, co-worker, or author
Step 4: Modify Settings for Specific Notifications
Users can also:
- Choose not to receive notifications for tasks they updated
- Prevent notifications for closed tasks
