How to Migrate Data from Existing Custom Fields into Project’s Native Fields

Before starting, ensure you have:

Administrator access to the Easy8 instance
At least one project custom field of type User or Lookup
The CF Migrator feature available in your Administration panel

⚠ Only User and Lookup custom field types are supported for migration

⚠ Text or other field types are not supported

How to Migrate Custom Field Data

Step 1: Access CF Migrator

Go to Administration → CF migrator

Step 2: Start the Migration

Click the MIGRATE button next to the native field you want to use (e.g., Project Manager or Project Owner)

Step 3: Select Field to Migrate From

From the list, choose the existing custom field whose values should be copied to the native field

Step 4: Confirm Migration

Review the selection and confirm to proceed

What Happens During Migration

The system performs several automatic changes:

Copies values from the selected custom field into the native field for all projects
