How to Create Test Cases
Step 1: Open Test Cases section
- Go to the Global menu >> Test Cases, or open the Test Cases module inside a selected project.
Option 1: Create a New Test Case manually
- Click on the New Test Case button.
- Fill in the Test Case details:
- Scenario (Description): Describe what the Test Case should test.
- Project: Select the project where the Test Case will belong.
- Other fields: Fill in fields like Priority, Assignee, or any Custom Fields that are available.
Notice
For better clarity and easier execution, you can add pictures or screenshots directly into the Scenario field.
This helps testers quickly understand what to test and reduces confusion.
Use the rich text editor toolbar to insert images just like in tasks or comments.
- Click Save.
Option 2: Import Test Cases from CSV
- In the sidebar, click on New CSV Import.
- Follow the instructions to upload your CSV file.
- Map the columns from your file to the correct Test Case fields (like Name, Description, Project, etc.).
- Confirm and finish the import.
Tip
Use CSV import when you need to create multiple Test Cases at once, such as when migrating from another tool or from Excel.
Conclusion
You have successfully created Test Cases either manually or by importing from CSV.
You can now use them in executions or add them to Test Plans.
