Introduction
This guide shows you how to create a new earned value in a project using Easy8. Earned values help track project performance based on progress and estimated work hours. By setting one up, you enable better project planning and monitoring.

How to Create a New Earned Value
Step 1: Navigate to Earned Values
- Open your project in Easy8
- Go to Settings >> Earned Values
- Click the New button
Step 2: Fill in the Form
- Type: Choose the type of earned value (currently only Estimated hours is available)
- Baseline: Select a project baseline or choose to use the current project state
- Name: Enter a name for this earned value
- Default: Check this box if you want this earned value to be used as the default
- Reload constantly:
- If checked, all data will be deleted and recreated from scratch during each run
- This ensures a complete refresh but may slow down the process significantly
- Otherwise, data is updated daily via cron jobs
Step 3: Save the Earned Value
- Click Create or Save to store your new earned value setting
