Introduction
Easy Gantt allows you to create and manage tasks and milestones directly from the Gantt chart. This makes project planning faster and more intuitive. With drag-and-drop tools, inline forms, and optional Quick Planning, you can build and adjust timelines with ease.

Steps
1. Enable Task Creation in Gantt
- Open your project’s Easy Gantt view
- Go to the top menu and click Tools
- Enable the toggle for New
- You’ll now see buttons for New task and New milestone
2. Create a New Task
- Click the New task button (appears after toggle is enabled or is always in the top-right corner)
- A popup form opens
- Fill in the task details:
- Subject
- Start and due date
- Assigned user, tracker, priority, etc.
- Click Save to add the task to the timeline
3. Create a New Milestone
- Click the New milestone button
- Click on the timeline where you want to place the milestone
- A popup form appears
- Fill in milestone details and save
4. Understand Milestone Visibility
- Only milestones that belong to the currently opened project(s) will appear
- Shared milestones appear only if they are used by tasks
- Unused shared milestones are not shown in the Gantt chart
5. Use Quick Planning (Optional)
- If the Quick Planning module is activated in the project:
- You’ll see additional planning tools in the Gantt
- This enables faster task and milestone creation
- Ideal for early-stage planning sessions
