How to Configure Personal Settings in DMS
Step 1: Access Your DMS Settings
- Go to your User Profile
- Find the section related to DMS settings
Step 2: Set a Default Filter
- Select a public filter to apply by default when viewing documents
- This helps you immediately see the documents you work with most often
Step 3: Configure "Act as Attachable"
This setting controls how you can attach documents to tasks:
- Files & Documents: Attach both uploaded files and documents from DMS
- Files: Attach uploaded files only (no DMS documents)
Step 4: Use the Attach Feature in Tasks
- When creating or editing a task, use the Drag & Drop area to upload new files
- Or click Link from to attach an existing DMS document
- Attached documents are stored in system folders and shown based on your permissions
