How to Configure the DMS Plugin
Step 1: Access Plugin Settings
- Go to the Global menu
- Click on Administration
- Select Plugins
- Find DMS in the list
- Click on Configure
Step 2: Set General Options
Configure these settings based on your preferences:
- Maximum files download: Set a limit for files downloaded in zip or email (0 = unlimited)
- Maximum notification receivers info: Number of recipients shown (default: 10)
- Maximum email attachment size: Set limit in MB for email attachments (0 = unlimited)
- File storage directory: Path to store uploaded files (default: /files/dmsf)
- LibreOffice binary: Add path if LibreOffice is used for PDF preview
- Physical file delete: Decide whether to delete files physically after web deletion
- File default notification: Activate per-project notifications
- Display notified recipients: Enable to show all email recipients to users
- Title format: Define format for downloaded document titles
- Act as attachable: Enable to attach documents directly to tasks
Step 3: Configure Project Preferences
These options appear only if Act as attachable is enabled:
- Sub-projects as sub-folders: Show sub-projects as folders in DMS view
- Global DMS menu disabled: Hide DMS menu item in top navigation
- Empty minor version by default: Decide on default minor version behavior
- Remove original Documents module: Disable the default document module
Step 4: Adjust DMS Columns
- Choose which columns should appear in the main document view
- All custom fields are available for selection
Step 5: Set Email Preferences
- From: Enter the sender's email address
- Reply-to: Enter the reply-to email address
- Links only: Choose to send document links instead of attachments
