- Access to Easy8 with the Test Cases plugin activated.
- Administrator permissions to manage Custom fields.
How to Add a Custom Field into Test Cases
Step 1: Open Custom Fields Management
- Go to the Global menu >> Administration >> Custom fields.
- Click on New custom field.
Step 2: Configure the Custom Field
- In the object type list, select Test Cases.
- Select the type of field you want to add (Text, List, Checkbox, etc.).
- Fill in the name and other settings of the field (such as required, default value, visibility).
- Click Save.

Make sure you select <strong>Test Cases</strong> directly from the object type list when creating the custom field.<br>
Test Cases are managed as a separate entity and have their own custom field type, as shown in the screenshot.
Step 3: Verify the Field in Test Cases
- Go to the Test Cases section.
- Open any Test Case or create a new one.
- You will now see the new custom field available to fill in.
