How to Activate Easy AI for a User
Introduction
This guide shows you how to activate Easy AI for a user in Easy8. Even if AI is enabled globally, it must also be turned on individually in each user profile. Without this setting, the user will not see or use any AI assistants.

- Administrator access in Easy8
- Easy AI plugin installed and globally enabled
- The user already exists in the system
How to Activate Easy AI for a User
Step 1: Open User Administration
Go to the global menu and select Administration >> Users.
Step 2: Edit the User Profile
Find the user you want to enable Easy AI for and click Edit.
Step 3: Enable AI Access
In the user profile form, locate the checkbox “Easy AI assistants active” and check it.
💡 Note: This setting is required for all users — including administrators. If not checked, no AI assistants will be visible.
Step 4: Save Changes
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
Troubleshooting
- The checkbox is missing:
→ Make sure the Easy AI plugin is installed and global Easy AI settings are enabled. - User still doesn’t see the assistants:
→ Check if “Easy AI assistants active” is checked in their profile and AI features are enabled in global settings.
→ No assistant-level selection is required — once permission is active, the user sees all enabled assistants.
