A baseline is the project’s original plan. It captures all task start and due dates at a specific moment. Easy Gantt keeps this baseline unchanged, even if the live project schedule is later edited.

How It Works
1. Enable the Baseline Feature
- Go to the project settings
- Locate the Modules section
- Enable Easy Gantt Baselines
2. Activate Baselines in Gantt
- Open the Easy Gantt chart
- Go to the top menu and click on Tools
- Toggle on the Baselines feature
3. Create a Baseline
- Click the Create Baseline button in the upper-right corner
- Enter a name for your baseline in the popup window
- Save it
- If baselines already exist, you will also see a list and a Delete button
4. Visual Comparison on the Chart
- Tasks appear split into two rows in the Gantt chart
- Top row shows current task timing
- Bottom row shows original task timing from the baseline
- This gives a clear view of time shifts
- You can create multiple baselines for different project stages
5. Timeline Columns
- New columns appear on the left side of the chart:
- Baseline Start Date
- Baseline Due Date
- These help compare original vs. current schedule in detail
Examples
- A baseline created at the start of a project shows all planned dates
- After delays, the Gantt chart displays actual dates above and baseline dates below
