How to Configure GitLab and GitHub Roles and Permissions
Step 1: Open Roles and Permissions
- Go to Administration
- Click Roles and Permissions
- Select the desired user role you want to update
Step 2: Find the Easy GIT Section
Scroll down the page to locate the section labeled Easy GIT. You will find two permissions available:
- View Easy GIT: Allows the user to access the Git Integration via the Global (More) menu
- Manage Easy GIT: Grants access to edit and customize the GitLab dashboard
Note: Only Easy8 administrators can access the global Git integration configuration. Regular users must be granted role-based permissions as described.
Step 3: Apply and Save
- Check or uncheck the permissions according to the needs of the selected role
- Scroll down and click Save to apply the changes
