Attachments on Tasks

Files can be attached directly to individual tasks. These attachments appear in the task's attachment box and are recorded in the task’s history. Each attachment includes additional tools for further management.

Documents on Projects

Documents can also be managed at the project level through one of two modules:

  • Documents Module – Included in the basic Easy8 package.
  • Easy DMS – An optional plugin that adds advanced document management features.

To use these modules, enable the appropriate permissions in Administration >> Roles and permissions and activate the module under Project controls >> Modules for each project.

Five File Management Tools

Each file added to a task or project comes with these five tools:

  1. Online Editing – Opens the file via a WebDAV link for real-time editing.
  2. New Short URL – Generates a short link and QR code for the file, with optional expiration and external sharing.
  3. New Version of Attachment – Allows uploading a new version of the file while keeping the old versions.
  4. Show Version History – Displays all file versions, with options to download, delete, or revert to previous versions.
  5. Deletion of Files – Permanently deletes the file if no longer needed.
