Introduction
This article explains how email notifications work for users in Easy8. Notifications help users stay updated on important changes to tasks and projects. You can customize what events trigger emails, both globally and on a per-user level.

Global Notification Settings
You can set default email notification preferences via Administration → Settings → Email notifications. These settings determine the scope of updates users will be notified about.

| For any event on all my projects | You receive notifications about every event in all projects where you are a member. |
| For any event on selected projects only | Same as above, but only for the projects you select. For other projects, you’ll only get updates where you're directly involved. |
| Things where I am the assignee, co-worker or author | You receive notifications only about tasks where you are directly involved. |
| Only for things I am assigned to | Notifications are sent only for tasks where you are assigned. |
| Only for things I am the author of | You receive notifications only for tasks you have created. |
| No events | You will not receive any email notifications. |
User-Specific Notification Settings
These settings can override the global preferences. To configure them, go to User profile → Edit.
- I don't want to be notified of changes that I make myself – You won’t receive notifications about your own edits.
- I don't want to be notified from closed tasks – Prevents notifications from changes on closed tasks.
- Do not notify anyone about updates made by me – Stops notifications from being sent to others about your changes.

How Mentions Work
- To mention a user, type @username in a task comment or description.
Notification Behavior
- A mention in a task comment will trigger a notification.
- A mention in the task description will not trigger a notification.
- To ensure the user is notified, use a mention in the comment section or add them as a co-worker on the task.
