Overview of SSO Technologies
SAML Integration
Easy8 supports SAML, commonly used with identity providers like Azure Active Directory. Configuration involves editing the SAML Service Provider settings and entering information provided by the identity provider. Key options include:
- Enabling on-the-fly user creation
- Displaying the sign-in button during initial setup
- Using debug mode for testing and troubleshooting
Once configured, SAML can be activated as the primary authentication method.
OAuth 2.0 Integration
Easy8 supports OAuth 2.0 for logins via external providers like Google or Facebook. The platform can act as:
- An identity provider (allowing login to other systems using Easy8 credentials)
- An identity service (allowing login to Easy8 using external credentials)
Setup requires token details and authentication information from the connected service.
SAML Identity Provider (IDP)
Easy8 can function as a SAML Identity Provider, authenticating users into external applications using Redmine credentials. This functionality is untested and must be evaluated by Easy8 technicians before use.
Kerberos
Kerberos authentication is available in older Easy8 versions. It is complex to configure and requires advanced server administration skills. It is not supported in the Cloud solution. Reliable use is only guaranteed when configured by official technicians.
