What is the Redmine API key?
To get your Redmine API key, you need to enable the REST API in the administration settings, and then find the key on your account page. You can then use this key for authentication when making API requests.
The API key can be found on your Redmine account page. When logged in, go to "My account" and you will see your API access key displayed on the right-hand side. To enable the REST API in Redmine, you need to go to the Administration settings and check the "Enable REST web service" option.
The API key can be used in two ways for authentication:
- Passed as a "key" parameter in the API request URL.
- Passed as the username with a random password via HTTP Basic authentication.
