What are the four principles of Agile?
The four principles (or values) of Agile, as outlined in the Agile Manifesto, are:
- Individuals and interactions over processes and tools: Agile emphasizes the importance of people and their collaboration rather than rigid adherence to processes or reliance on tools.
- Working software over comprehensive documentation: Delivering functional software is prioritized over producing extensive documentation, ensuring that the focus remains on creating value
- Customer collaboration over contract negotiation: Agile values active collaboration with customers to meet their needs rather than strictly adhering to predefined contracts.
- Responding to change over following a plan: Agile embraces flexibility and adaptability, allowing teams to adjust to evolving requirements rather than sticking rigidly to an initial plan.
